The final beam is in place
Faculty and administrators took a moment during the excitement of homecoming week to watch as Devcon Construction, general contractor to the project, raised the final steel beam for the Performing Arts Center. More than 25 percent of the construction work for the $13 million project has been completed. The Performing Arts Center is expected to open in the spring of 2009.

Bands take 1st & 3rd at Tournament of Champions
The Saint Francis Jazz Band won first place and the Lancer Marching Band took third place in the Fairfield Tournament of Champions Band Review competition on Saturday, Nov. 15. The Fairfleld TOC is one of the premier Band Reviews in Northern California. Marching bands from all over the state compete in a parade competition down the center of Dover Street in the city of Fairfield. Symphonic and jazz bands perform in the concert competitions.

"Harvey" is a hit!
Saint Francis High School's production of "Harvey" began Nov. 13. This renowned comedy by Mary Chase set in the 1940's is about a man who has a close friend who is an imaginary six-foot white rabbit. Hilarity ensues as his family attempts to "cure" him. The performances run Thursday through Saturday nights through Nov. 22.
